Devilish Chocolate Cake – I read a book called Hellbound, it’s fiction and a wonderful read, I’m not saying this because my sister wrote it, but because I was able to understand the actions of the characters in this book, and thanks to God I did not feel their pain!
After reading the book I was inspired to make something delicious, something sinful, and I didn’t have to go out of the house, but went straight to my humble kitchen and made Choco Diavolo a Devilish Chocolate Cake.
Making a Devilish Chocolate Cake
When you take a bite from this cake, the chocolate explodes in your mouth (in a nice way). The texture came out great, moist, tender crumb, hmmmm you should really try it.
There are many different recipes out there for chocolate cake, but this devilish chocolate cake recipe is a keeper. You will fall in love with it if you had it the same day you baked it, but the next day it turns to a sinful and soul captivating spell.
I thought of giving this beauty a tree log shape to mimic the huge and tall trees in the dark forests.
To know more about why the Novel Hellbound was able to bring this cake out of me, and to get the recipe of course, read what my sister Su has written below.
It Comes in Small Packages
What we usually see on a high scale as an evil deed usually starts with a small act, like a mistake.
Hellbound is a work of fiction (horror) that shows three samples of these slips. The Deadening showcases what greed can lead to, The Substitute displays the power of cheating and arrogance, and finally Scorned is about infidelity and abuse. A character in each of the stories suffers the consequences of his destructive compulsions.
And just like in fiction, real life has some alluring traps that can spiral into wickedness. Take for example the signature cake Muna came up with for Hellbound, Choco Diavolo…it is delicious, looks good, and will work its magic on your palate, taste buds, and eventually your body. It will tempt you, to ignore your diet, to try it just one time…Where’s the harm in one, right?
Ah, but one bite is all it takes, I promise you this. Go ahead, bake it, and try to resist the enticement.
One-way ticket to Hell.
Bart is a greedy morgue attendant with money on his mind. He gets more than what he bargains for when he chances upon a pain-letter, one he must pass on or bear the consequences of his inaction.
Stan is a chiseler, a fake medium, preying on his unsuspecting clients’ earnings through bogus channeling sessions. When he meets mysterious Joanna Stark, he believes her promises of powers beyond his comprehension, powers blessed by the Netherworld.
Jenna gives up her old life and career to settle down as Troy’s loving wife. He is a God-fearing man who will consent only to marriage. Except fate maps a different ending to their love story, a conclusion that takes them both down and never up again.
Bart, Stan, and Jenna are destined to go on a long and abominable journey that sinks them below their expectations and forces them to endure pain and anguish beyond their worst nightmares.
On the paths leading to the depths of Hell, their sins don’t matter!

Muna, thanks for coming up with Choco Diavolo / Devilish Chocolate Cake and for having me here today. You’re the best proof that sisters do stick together. You’re the best.
