Orange Sour Cream Loaf Cake

orange sour cream loaf cake 4
I am writing this post with one eye almost shut and the other seems to be going in the same direction. I’m so sleepy right now but I have to finish writing this post because I am a professional blogger (giggling). I will probably regret this in the morning when I re-read this post. I better speed up and write a little more about my Orange Sour Cream Loaf Cake.

How to make Orange Sour Cream Loaf Cake?

Before talking about this cake, there is an important thing which I want you to keep in mind, ……………………… …………. (trying to remember.)  …………. Oh, yes! Since the star of this recipe is orange, get a fresh orange that has vibrant color and smells like fresh orange, in this Orange Sour Cream Loaf Cake, the zest and the juice of an orange is used, if the orange tasted bad, believe me, you will taste it in the cake.

OMG! I just dozed off, LOL.

The oil used in this cake will keep it moist for a long time. When the cake cools and you taste a slice, believe it or not, you will taste butter, don’t ask me how (especially now.) but I guess the sour cream combined with the other ingredients might have contributed to the buttery taste.

, and if you happen to make any of my recipes, please post the picture and mention me in your post, or use this hashtag #Arinacooking. I would love to see your creation.

As for my recipe, here you go!

  1. This looks bakery perfect, Muna, and with just 3/4 cup of sugar, I can totally enjoy a couple of slices too.

  2. This cake sounds incredible, Muna! I love sour cream pound cakes, and this sounds similar to one of my favorite recipes…just with added orange juice and zest. I definitely need a slice of this one! Now I hope you got some sleep after writing this one. 🙂

I’m so excited Nagi and can’t wait to see how you will like it, please send me a pic whenever you make this loaf cake 🙂

  6. I made this and it turned out wonderfully, but I’m having trouble finding where to add the orange zest in the directions. I see it in the ingredient list, but I can’t find anywhere in the directions where to add it. I added it when I added all the other ingredients to the sugar egg vanilla mixture.

  7. Made this loaf cake last night and it is delicious!
I will definitely be making this again, my husband loved it.
